  • Growing a Farm for Black Minnesotans

    February 18, 2021

Explore the motivation and vision for the “Grow a Young Black Farmer in Minnesota” campaign in this short film directed by Adja Gildersleve. The campaign by apprenticing cheesemaker Lizy Bryant supports her goal to buy land farmed by her aunt, Lynne Reeck, Mill City Farmers Market vendor of Singing Hills Goat Dairy.

Double your donation!

Mill City Farmers Market will be matching contributions to Lizy Bryant’s crowd-funding campaign to create an agricultural and artistic resource for Black Minnesotans and their families at Singing Hills Farm.

Donations from market shoppers will be matched dollar-per-dollar up to $2,000. Add “MCFM Match” to your donation comment or email us a screenshot of your receipt to be matched at info@millcityfarmersmarket.org. Learn more about the project in the video above and in the link below.
