Become a Friend of the Market and help sustain “Healthy Foods, Local Farmers”!
Mill City Farmers Market is more than a market – it is an experience and a community dedicated to sustainable. local food. It is enjoyed by more than 5,500 guests per week shopping their local farmers market or visiting it from out of town. We continue to grow every season and we need your support to ensure that this neighborhood market continues to thrive!
Mill City Farmers Market is a non-profit organization that relies on financial contributions to sustain its mission: To support local, sustainable and organic agriculture, increasing economic opportunities for farmers, urban youth, small businesses and food artisans. To offer experiential learning about and access to healthy local foods and build a vibrant, gathering place for Minneapolis residents and visitors.
Our annual budget accounts for operational expenses, and costs associated with our weekly educational activities, and community outreach efforts t. We receive less than 30% of our funding from vendor fees. The remainder of our expenses must be covered by sponsorships, fundraisers and private donations from Friends of the Market. Without our dedicated Friends, the Mill City Farmers Market would not be possible.
As a Friend you make an investment in the Market that you love! Your donations help us demonstrate the strength of our community, foster sustainable economic development and build stronger ties between the region’s food producers and consumers! To become a Friend of the Market, all you need to do is make a donation in any amount – it’s that easy!
