Mill City Farmers Market’s Saturday Market is Minneapolis' trusted source for local, sustainable and organic groceries, bringing fresh food, cooking education and live entertainment to one beautiful place. Join us and over 60 local farmers, food makers and artisans - rain or shine - this Saturday for a unique outdoor shopping experience.  

Produce Planner

Arugula, bok choi, beets, broccoli, carrots, cabbage, cauliflower, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, dried beans, fresh herbs, garlic scapes, green garlic, green beans, gooseberries, kale, lettuce, microgreens, mushrooms, peppers, radishes, radicchio, raspberries, snap peas, snow peas, spinach, spring onions, peppers, squash blossoms, summer squash, Swiss chard, tomatoes, zucchini and more!

Mill City Cooks

Learn how to cook market meals in our free, chef-led cooking demo, Mill City Cooks, offered every Saturday in the train shed patio at 10:30. This Saturday, Lakewinds Food Co-op will be in the kitchen cooking Fennel Basil Pasta Salad and Whipped Feta and Harissa Crostinis. Plus, our kids’ tables at the demo always feature coloring sheets and other engaging activities, giving adults some free time to relax with a cup of coffee and learn tips and easy seasonal recipes from our market chefs. Live Music

10AM- Mixed Precipitation will be preforming songs from this season’s Picnic Operetta: ‘Philemon and Baucis–Planet in Peril’

11AM-1PM- Michael Keyes & Jim Krans will be playing live music from 11 – 1 in the green music tent by the Guthrie stairs.

Meet Your Vegetables

Nutrition and Public Health students lead our Meet Your Vegetables demonstrations at the top of the Chicago Mall, near Spoonriver restaurant. Discover creative, simple ways to prepare seasonal produce and walk away with a delicious sample and recipe card complete with nutrition information!  This Saturday, the interns will be joined by Allina Health nursing leaders Brad Beckers, Yelana Jurney and Leah Kreps. Learn more.

Power of Produce

Power of Produce “PoP“ veggie tasting club is at the information tent every Saturday! Kids ages 3-12 can earn a $2 token to spend on fruits and veggies by tasting a local, seasonal vegetable, as a way to empower kids to make healthy eating decisions. Learn more.

Community Booth

The Bakken Learn about medicinal plants that go into our modern day medicine cabinet and more about the Bakken Museum’s ‘Deep Roots’ exhibit at their booth this Saturday on the Chicago Avenue Expansion!
