I am a printmaker who specializes in textile design and home décor. I create one-of-a-kind, limited edition screen-printed and block printed textiles. I find tremendous inspiration through traveling and literature, especially children’s books.
My travels have taken me to Kenya, Tanzania, Japan, Guatemala, Mexico and through out much of Europe. On these journeys I have collected the rich and vibrant textiles of these places. When I am not traveling I am living life to its fullest here in Minneapolis, MN. I am an avid gardner, foodie and momma. I find these currents are often woven in the narratives I share through my textiles designs and prints.
For the past thirteen years I have explored the art of printmaking, primarily creating woodcuts and monotype prints. In recent years I have chosen to further specialize, developing textile designs and illuminated pieces. In 2010, I launched my textile line, the pillowtalk project, which features limited edition, one-of-a-kind screen prints on luminaries, pillows, potholders, tea towels and toggery.
My S/S 2012 Collections are a reflection of place. I create my designs to embody a joie de vivre. As an artist I work to translate and share that spirit in my designs.
