Note: 2022 was Sunrise Flour Mill’s last season at Mill City Farmers Market. Here’s a note from Marty:
“I will be forever grateful for this market. It started us on our incredible journey to building our business. I count so many of you customers and vendors as friends, some without even knowing your names. I won’t mind not getting up at 5 am on Saturdays but I will miss the energy I always went home with no matter how tired I was.
It still will be possible to find our flour in most co-op grocery and some specialty stores throughout the Twin Cities. We offer customer pick up at our mill in North Branch, MN, on Tuesday mornings between nine and noon, or we can ship flour right to your doorstep. (sunriseflourmill.com)
I will be a frequent shopper at the market so if we run into each other, please say hi :)” –Marty Glanville
Sunrise Flour Mill is a small mill organic mill just north of Minneapolis. Owners Marty and Darrold Glanville and their team mill the finest certified organic heritage wheat and other grains into a variety of flours, cereals and other products. Their primary product is heritage wheat which many people with gluten sensitivities can eat without symptoms. This ‘Turkey Red’ wheat variety predates hybridization so it is a wheat that is more digestible for most people with gluten sensitivity.
Sunrise Flour Mill seeks out the best possible organic heritage wheat and other grains. They source grain from Luhr’s Farms, Central Milling, BKW Farms, Natural Way Mills Trust and other smaller farms when available.
