Mary Dirty Face Farm is a certified organic, diversified fruit orchard, located near Menomonie, Wisconsin, 70 miles from the Twin Cities. Their orchard includes apples, pears, plums, raspberries, currants, gooseberries, and blueberries.
Owners Rachel and Anton bought a hayfield and started planting their orchard in 2009, having been inspired by working on a few mixed fruit and vegetable farms while traveling in South America. Early on, they focused on establishing perennials, but once we got started researching fruit, they began planting almost every kind of fruit they can grow in our climate.
“We are passionate about learning and sharing the many different flavors and textures of northern climate fruits. Farmers markets present a great opportunity to share that with customers, and we love introducing people to varieties they may have never seen before.”
