Green Garden Bakery is a group of young-entrepreneurs from Heritage Park North Minneapolis, who have started their own eco-friendly vegetable based dessert social enterprise. Youth leaders working at Green Garden Bakery grow vegetables in their urban garden and bake them into healthy desserts such as beet brownies, green tomato cakes, carrot pumpkin bread, lemon zucchini muffins and other seasonal treats. Green Garden Bakery items are suitable for all dietary restrictions including vegan, gluten free and sugar free.
All Green Garden Bakery products are sold at “pay-what-you-want” and 1/3 of the profit each month are donated to a local community need, which youth leaders identify. Furthermore, Green Garden Bakery works hard to have eco-friendly business practices including using compostable packaging decorated with edible vegetable based paints made from our garden, we are paperless except for our business card made from seed paper that you can plant and grow a tomato once you are done with it.
