Ghee | Vegan Food | Momo Dumplings

Located in the heart of Northeast Minneapolis just across the Mississippi River, Gorkha Palace offers authentic Nepali, Indian and Tibetan cuisine. They use high quality fresh ingredients sourced from local organic and sustainable farming. All dairy products used are organic, meats are naturally and humanely raised without hormones or antibiotics. Their spices are ground fresh and ghee (clarified butter) is made in house. Gorkha’s Momos have been tremendously popular at Mill City Farmers Market and because of the encouragement received from the patrons of the market, owner Rashmi Bhattachan was able to open her very first restaurant. Gorkha Palace is proud to be the first within the Nepali, Indian and Tibetan restaurant community to go Green. In its effort to reduce waste and positively impact the environment, Gorkha Palace has partnered with Eureka Recycling, a local non-profit organization, to compost its entire food waste and paper products as well as recycle other packaging materials.

Gorkha Palace is named after an ancient historic palace that sits atop a hill in Nepal. From the palace one can see the majestic snow-capped mountains and the captivating rolling green valleys that will take one’s breath away. Please visit them at the Market and enjoy the unique culinary experience that Gorkha Palace brings as you journey across the globe to mystical Southeast Asia.

At the market, Rashmi will serve 100% Grass fed Beef momo, free range Turkey Momo, and Yak Momo. The vegetable curries and daal (lentil soup) will also vary depending on what’s in season.
