Hazelnut Pesto

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup hazelnuts
- 1 cup basil, lightly packed
- 1/3 cup hazelnut oil
- 1/3 cup grated aged cheese from the market, like Shepherd’s Way Fresiago
- 1 garlic clove
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 a lemon
Instructions
Combine all ingredients in a food processor or blender until desired texture. You may need to add additional hazelnut oil. No need to make the pesto completely smooth–the hazelnut pieces add a nice texture to pasta dishes.
