Chocolate San Jose Minneapolis
Chocolate San Jose Minneapolis is a Latino women owned business that offers the best chocolate in the USA. We aim to elevate the perception of chocolate from negative indulgence to a guilt-free, low sugar, sustainable and socially responsible choice.
- Farm-to-Bar Transparency: My family in Ecuador grows cacao (since 1930), selects the best cacao, and turns it into chocolate.
- Low sugar and delicious: We have perfected a unique fermentation process that produces a delicious chocolate that doesn’t have the astringency and acidity found in most high % chocolates, therefore, we add less sugar than other brands.
- Sustainably grown: Our farming practices have been endorsed by UTZ Certification and the Rainforest Alliance. As of 2014, UTZ Certified is the largest program for sustainable farming of coffee and cocoa in the world. Rainforest Alliance Certified farms comply with 10 standards set in place by the Sustainable Agriculture Network (SAN) including ecosystem conservation, wildlife protection, and fair treatment and good working conditions for workers.
- Social responsibility: Every farm worker receives free healthcare, education, and a percentage of the annual profits.
- Direct and Fair Trade: Our family business imports its chocolate from Ecuador to Minnesota, one part of the family to another, creating a beneficial link between the two.
With this unique connection, we are able to bring our single farm, sustainably certified, premium Chocolate Hacienda San José, at a convenient price for all families in America while providing fair pay to the families that cultivate the cocoa as livelihood.

Dervish Mazza
Hand prepared with love, DervishMazza is an authentic taste of the Middle East/ Mediterranean…… Born in Cairo, Mo grew up in a loving household where his mother’s cooking, and the surrounding Egyptian culture, etched his worldview. Every morning, his grandfather prepared fūl—a savory stew of fava beans—for the workers at a local textile factory. This nurturing morning ritual of savoring fūl awakened his palette and set his culinary course.
His first job was at a French bakery down the street from his childhood home. Later on, Mo’s passion for cooking was molded by years in France and nearly two decades at renowned kitchens in New York City. Upon settling in Minneapolis, he founded Dervish Mazza, an intimate hospitality concept that offers the very best of Mo’s cuisine and warm hospitality, dinner events, private catering and more.
“‘Mazza’ is an Egyptian word, and I chose it because I’d like you to be a part of my world. Before I ever moved to southern France, then New York City, and now Minneapolis, I spent my childhood on the Nile River in bustling, talkative, delicious Cairo, Egypt, where entire meals can be made out of little plates of colorful and intensely flavorful mazza, usually accompanied by the wonderful bread of Egypt, which we call eish, meaning “living.” Because what is life without good food and good bread?” -Mo

Feather Thief Fly Fishing
“Scott Harness has been a real estate broker for 35 years and owns Owner Options Realty in Edina. It’s a great job and pays the bills, but his real passion is fly tying and fly fishing. Last year, he founded Feather Thief in order to share his love for the sport. The name comes from a book he read about Edwin Rist, a professional flute player who would travel around Europe playing concerts and events, and who was also an avid fly tyer.
Scott, who’s going to be 64 this year, came to the point where he enjoyed the flies that he tied and giving them to friends as much as he enjoyed watching people or helping them to learn how to fish. “I had as much fun sitting on the riverside saying, ‘Cast over here’ or ‘Do this,’ and that’s how I became a guide.”
Feather Thief specializes in teaching beginners. “That seems to be my forte,” he says. “I take people on their journey and teach them how to tie it, cast it, and catch it.” Scott says you can catch all types of fish with a fly. “It can imitate a minnow, a crayfish, a leech, a bug, and anything else, so you can catch everything from bass to muskies.”
[At MCFM] Scott sells custom-tied flies in a gift tin. “Each one is slightly uniquely because the feathers are all slightly different,” he says.”

“I’ve always been a maker. My mom and my aunt taught me how to quilt at a young age, and they instilled in me a curiosity for creating and exploring different forms of craft. While I always had a project or two in the works, I started to delve deeper into my quilting and fiber arts practices in 2021. In 2023, Stone Fruit Creative was born as my way of exploring different methods of incorporating traditional designs to create contemporary and usable items. I love making wearable and usable art that people are excited by, and I hope the love and care in each piece inspires others to delve into their own creativity.” -Sarah
