Our farmers need your help. Women’s Environmental Institute (WEI) and Prairie Hollow Farm totaled their market vans commuting from the market this year–Prairie Hollow in a March snow storm and WEI after hitting a deer in an early morning drive to market in May. While the drivers are recovering, both their vehicles will not and need to be replaced in order to keep up with the growing summer harvests.
“The van is our sole mode of transportation for distributing our produce and the produce and products of our North Circle Food Hub partner farmers. Through our CSAs, Veggie Rx program and Mill City Farmers Market, our beautiful, organic produce reaches thousands of households each year. Relationships connect and sustain us — and on a different level, so too does the van.”
-Karen Clark, WEI Activist Executive Director
