Celebrate Father's Day Weekend at the Market! Mill City Farmers Market’s Saturday Market is Minneapolis' trusted source for local, sustainable and organic groceries, bringing fresh food, cooking education and live entertainment to one beautiful place. Mill City Cooks

Learn how to cook your #WeeklyMarketMeal in our free, chef-led cooking demo, Mill City Cooks, offered every Saturday in the train shed patio from 10:30 to 11 a.m. This Saturday, market chef Beth Jones will be making Beef Bowls with Vegetables and Kimchi using market ingredients.
 
Plus, our kids’ tables at the demo always feature coloring sheets and other engaging activities, giving adults some free time to relax with a cup of coffee while picking up tips and easy seasonal recipes from our market chefs. Samples and recipe cards are available at each demo—or check out our recipe archive!

Meet Your Vegetables

Nutrition and Public Health students lead our Meet Your Vegetables demonstrations at the top of the Chicago Mall, near Spoonriver restaurant. Discover creative, simple ways to prepare seasonal produce and walk away with a delicious sample and recipe card complete with nutrition information sponsored by Allina Health! This week’s recipe is Asian Sesame Snap Peas, and we will be joined by Dr. Herman Chiu, Allina Health Nicollet Mall internal medicine physician. Learn more.

9 to 10 a.m. – As part of the Market’s mission to grow a healthier community, we’ve partnered with local neighborhood yoga studios to offer free outdoor yoga classes! Before or after you shop the Market, join talented instructors from YogaFit Studios Northeast for an hour of blissful outdoor practice in the lawn overlooking the Mighty Mississippi and Stone Arch Bridge. Power of Produce

Power of Produce “PoP“ veggie tasting club is at the information tent every week! Kids ages 3-12 can earn a $2 token to spend on fruits and veggies by tasting a local, seasonal vegetable, as a way to empower kids to make healthy eating decisions. Learn more.
