Market Yoga on Mississippi River Day

Celebrate our Mighty Mississippi River at the Market on Saturday, August 26th! After grocery shopping and our yoga class facing the Stone Arch Bridge, stop by the Chicago Avenue Expansion to meet a bald eagle and  learn about the river's ecology The University of Minnesota Raptor Center. Produce Planner

Apples, artichoke, arugula, biter melon, bok choi, beets, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, carrots, cabbage, cauliflower, celery, cherry tomatoes, collards, cucumbers, dried beans, eggplant, fennel, fresh herbs, garlic, green beans, kale, lettuce, microgreens, mushrooms, peppers, radicchio, romanesco, spinach, spring onions, peppers, summer squash, Swiss chard, tomatillos, tomatoes, zucchini and more!


Our monthly donation-based yoga series starts at 9AM in the lawn down the stairs from the market, overlooking the Stone Arch Bridge. Join instructors from YogaFit Studios Northeast for a blissful outdoor practice, saluting the Mighty Mississippi. Learn more.

Mill City Cooks

Learn how to cook market meals in our free, chef-led cooking demo, Mill City Cooks, offered every Saturday in the train shed patio at 10:30. This Saturday, Lakewinds Food Co-op will be in the kitchen with their Makers to Market Program. Plus, our kids’ tables at the demo always feature coloring sheets and other engaging activities, giving adults some free time to relax with a cup of coffee and learn tips and easy seasonal recipes from our market chefs. Live Music

Light of the Moon Trio will be playing live music from 11 – 1 in the green music tent by the Guthrie stairs.

The Raptor Center meet a bald eagle and other raptors and learn about the river’s ecology The University of Minnesota Raptor Center.

Spark-Y is a Minneapolis based non-profit organization with the mission of empowering youth through hands-on education rooted in sustainability and entrepreneurship! Come learn about what we are doing throughout the community and how you can get involved!

Meet Your Vegetables

Nutrition and Public Health students lead our Meet Your Vegetables demonstrations at the top of the Chicago Mall, near Spoonriver restaurant. Discover creative, simple ways to prepare seasonal produce and walk away with a delicious sample and recipe card complete with nutrition information! Learn more.

Produce Planner

Power of Produce “PoP“ veggie tasting club is at the information tent every Saturday! Kids ages 3-12 can earn a $2 token to spend on fruits and veggies by tasting a local, seasonal vegetable, as a way to empower kids to make healthy eating decisions. Learn more.
