Volunteers needed every Saturday, May 12th – October 27th
Make Dirt, Not Waste!
In 2009, with help from Eureka Recycling, Mill City Farmers Market became the first farmers market in Minnesota to go Zero Waste! Learn more about our efforts here. If you are interested in reducing waste & promoting composting in your community, volunteer as a Zero Waste Educator! Every interested volunteer is oriented to the Zero Waste project and trained in FAQ’s to be successful in their post. ZWE’s staff Zero Waste stations to direct and educate customers on disposal of their waste at the Market and in their community. Shifts are from 10AM to 1PM every Saturday, May 12th through October 27th.
Mill City Cooks
Mill City Cooks is our weekly healthy and seasonal cooking demo hosted by Market Chefs, Heather Hartman and Nick Schneider. Kitchen demo volunteers assist with set-up, demo food preparation, plating and serving samples, and clean up. Novices and expert cooks welcome! The Mill City Cooks shift is from 9:30AM to 12:30PM.
