By Nick Kramarczuk

Serves 4

Prep time: 10 minutes

Total time: 30 minutes

  • 1 lb. Kramarczuk’s Fresh Bratwurst
  • 1/4 lb. Havarti cheese, sliced
  • 1/4 lb. bacon, sliced
  • 1 pint Kramarczuk’s Sauerkraut
  • 1/2 onion
  • 4 Kaiser rolls or hamburger buns
  • Bavarian sweet mustard

Dice the bacon and fry over medium heat.

Slice the onion and sauté with the bacon to desired texture.

Heat the sauerkraut in a small saucepan over low heat – you may need to add water to keep it from burning.

Remove the casings from the fresh bratwurst and form into patties by hand. Grill over medium heat to 160 Fahrenheit.

Just before removing the patties add a slice of Havarti cheese.

Toast the rolls on the grill, remove then spread on some Bavarian sweet mustard.

Build the burger – place the patty on the bun cover with kraut add the onions and bacon mixture and enjoy with a good German Beer!
