    Joe Hatch-Surisook is chef/owner of Sen Yai Sen Lek, thai rice & noodles in northeast Minneapolis.  Sen Yai Sen Lek (big noodle, little noodle) was named among Mpls/St. Paul Magazine's best new restaurants for 2009.  Sen Yai Sen Lek offers authentic preparations of traditional Thai dishes, specializing in single dish noodle and rice entrees reminiscent of Bangkok's street food.  They source many of our products locally and will continue to build new relationships with local growers and producers.   Prior to launching his own venture in Summer of 2008, Joe spent 7 years instructing Thai cuisine and baking classes at several local cooking schools.  His culinary background also includes a stint as baker at  The Nicollet Island Inn and as kitchen manager at the, much beloved, former Chet's Taverna.
