Pull out your wheels for our annual Bike to the Market Day! Minneapolis bicycle groups and bicycle mechanics will answer all of your questions and provide free, quick bike safety checks and consultations at the market. Plus, we're offering 25% off all Mill City Farmers Market merchandise (t-shirts, sweatshirts, tanks, hats and tote bags) to anyone with their bicycle or helmet at the Information Booth! Learn more.

Produce Planner

Apples, artichoke, arugula, biter melon, bok choi, beets, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, carrots, cabbage, cauliflower, celery, cherry tomatoes, collards, cucumbers, dried beans, eggplant, fennel, fresh herbs, garlic, green beans, kale, lettuce, microgreens, mushrooms, peppers, radicchio, romanesco, spinach, spring onions, peppers, summer squash, Swiss chard, tomatillos, tomatoes, zucchini and more!

Mill City Cooks

Learn how to cook market meals in our free, chef-led cooking demo, Mill City Cooks, offered every Saturday in the train shed patio at 10:30. This Saturday, market chef Beth  will be making Okonomiyaki Cabbage Pancakes! Plus, our kids’ tables at the demo always feature coloring sheets and other engaging activities, giving adults some free time to relax with a cup of coffee and learn tips and easy seasonal recipes from our market chefs. Samples and recipe cards are available at each demo—or check out our recipe archive!

Meet Your Vegetables

Nutrition and Public Health students lead our Meet Your Vegetables demonstrations at the top of the Chicago Mall, near Spoonriver restaurant. Discover creative, simple ways to prepare seasonal produce and walk away with a delicious sample and recipe card complete with nutrition information! This Saturday, the interns will be joined by Allina Health pharmacy doctors Mckaya Kastner, PharmD, and Logane Kiehnau, PharmD. Learn more.

Power of Produce

Power of Produce “PoP“ veggie tasting club is at the information tent every Saturday! Kids ages 3-12 can earn a $2 token to spend on fruits and veggies by tasting a local, seasonal vegetable, as a way to empower kids to make healthy eating decisions. Learn more.

Community Booths

Oink Outings The goal of Oink Outings is to connect pig farmers with consumers so they can answer any questions that they have about pork or pigs. For each question that a consumer asks, one pound of ground pork is donated to Second Harvest Heartland to help feed families in need.
 
The Hub  Bike Co-op will be offering quick bicycle safety checks and consultations to market patrons. The Hub is the only worker owned and worker managed bike shop in the Twin Cities, providing excellent products and services for all your biking needs.
 
Our Streets – Minneapolis Bicycle Coalition Learn about their mission to make our city comfortable and easy for everyone to walk, bike, run and skate, giving everyone and opportunity to experience our city in a whole new way.
