Prost! This Saturday the Mill City Farmers Market is celebrating Oktoberfest! In addition to shopping for all your local groceries, polka dance to traditional music from the Elk River German Band, sample cider with Sociable Cider Werks and find lots of Oktoberfest activities at the Mill City Museum, including photo exhibits of Minneapolis' historic breweries, a 'History of Brewing Presentation,' and traditional German dancers. We'll see you Saturday--Zicke zacke, zicke zacke, hoi hoi hoi!  

Produce Planner

Mill City Cooks

Learn how to cook Spätzle this Saturday with Chef Beth Jones in our free chef-led cooking demo, Mill City Cooks, offered every Saturday in the train shed patio at 10:30. Plus, our kids’ tables at the demo always feature coloring sheets and other engaging activities, giving adults some free time to relax with a cup of coffee and learn tips and easy seasonal recipes from our market chefs. Samples and recipe cards are available at each demo—or check out our recipe archive!

Yoga

Our monthly free yoga series starts at 9AM in the lawn down the stairs from the market, overlooking the Mighty Mississippi and Stone Arch Bridge. Join instructors from YogaFit Studios Northeast for a blissful outdoor practice. Learn more.

Live Music

Elk River German Band will be playing live music from 9:30 – 11:30 in the green music tent near the Guthrie theater, and again at noon and 1pm in the Mill City Museum Ruin Courtyard!

Book Signing

Book Signing with Terri Peterson Smith, author of ‘Unique Eats and Eateries of the Twin Cities’ on the top of the Chicago Mall near Spoonriver Restaurant.

Power of Produce

Power of Produce “PoP“ veggie tasting club is at the information tent every Saturday! Kids ages 3-12 can earn a $2 token to spend on fruits and veggies by tasting a local, seasonal vegetable, as a way to empower kids to make healthy eating decisions. Learn more.
