Seeds of Change

Sure, weather is the favorite topic of conversation for all Midwesterners, but this unseasonably warm winter has provided impetus to let it all hang out: 80 degrees on St Patrick’s Day?!!

While we’re all outside enjoying the sunshine, the trees are budding, the perennials are peaking their green heads above the soil, and farmers are wondering “how is this going to affect the growing season?”

David Doody at Twin Cities METRO had a few conversations with local farmers (many of whom sell at MCFM) and MCFM Market Manager, Aaron Reser and Founder, Brenda Langton to explore all the ways the changing weather patterns are affecting the Minnesota agricultural landscape. Click here to read the article and remember how important our food dollars are and will continue to be to the farming legacy.
